VISUAL STYLE TEST
I decided to use the first scene to make a test and draw the rest according to this scene. The first scene happens in the night, I used to color it without highlight and shadow and only use color change to show the light variation. In this way, the picture will become flat and lack of details which can not show the feeling of flame.
Then I add shadows and textures frame by frame, thereby improving the quality and bringing out the dancing flame.
I also add some glow for it, because almost half of my animation happens in a dark environment, the glow not only can enhance overall effect but also very easy to draw.
TECHNICAL SOLUTION
During the making progress, I use the texturizer function to apply different textures for each layer. this function can allow the user to transform the shape of the rendering area according to the animation. but some times I don’t need to change the shape but only change the direction. if I move the rendering area, the texture will have an uncontrollable transform.
I tried another way to apply texture. firstly, I duplicate the CTG layer, then using the image source effect to find the rendering area. the last step is using inlay texture to apply it. in this way, I cant solve this problem perfectly.
